A cable car descending, from atop Montserrat in Spain. I took a train here from Barcelona on a daytrip, and am so happy I did. Up allmost a mile high, there was a small town, a historic Benedictine abbey – Santa Maria de Montserrat – and innumerable scenic vistas along the many walking paths. I could have stayed up there for a week.
